Seizures

This module covers the following topics:

• Evaluation and management of children with febrile seizures
• Initial stabilisation and management of children in status epilepticus
• Complications and further investigation of prolonged status epilepticus

The module is based around the clinical scenario of fifteen month old Emily, which is presented over three parts. Each part is followed by a number of questions. The questions are a mixture of multiple choice with one correct answer, multiple choice with more than one correct answer and questions involving the ordering of information. The correct answer is given for each question, followed by an explanation.
